Salad Success!

(viewed 64 times)
Spinach and mizuna are going nuts! We have had so much salad! Nom.

The mange touts are out and the bamboo frame is up.

We also planted carrots, beetroot and pumpkins but there is nothing to see of them yet.

Yay for gardening!

Book Protector

(viewed 57 times)
The last time i brought a book to work it got damaged in my bag, so i've decided to keep future books safe in sealable bags.

Apparently this is rather nerdy, and this morning BeardyMan suggested i get myself a pocket protector.

A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil

(viewed 88 times)
Book Nineteen.

Tenth Brookmyre. I take it back; this is the longest book title ever. The content is still as top-notch as ever. BeardyMan told me the quality went down after All Fun and Games... but i don't agree so far. SO MANY Scottish colloquialisms, they'll be with me for a while. I already used 'greet' out loud today.

A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil = ((School kids + growing up) x murder) ^ so many Scottish colloquialisms there was a glossary.

Holga: Roll 10

This roll had been in my camera half finished since last summer. Oops? I finally finished it off recently.

The older shots all came out blurry because i had the Holga on the long-exposure setting. Another oops? But i quite like them anyway.

Most of the first half were from a trip me, BeardyMan and his sister went on to Thornton Abbey (shown in the first photo) and the Humber bridge (which gave me vertigo--see photo three).

Black Butterfly

Book Eighteen.

I read The Vesuvius Club and The Devil in Amber a few years ago and loved them. This has been on my wish list since i found out it had been released. A wonderful conclusion for the lovely Lucifer Box. Many laughs, and many cringes... often at the same time.

George

Meet George the giraffe. He comes in many colours.

Random gifts in to post from awesome people make me smile.

Stick Figures

(viewed 120 times)
There was a get well card for someone at work for everyone to sign. I hate these kinds of things; i don't know what to say, all the usual things are so boring and overused. So... i drew stick figures of everyone at work waving, instead.

All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye

(viewed 78 times)
Book Seventeen.

Ninth Brookmyre. What is the longest book title ever? Is it this one? In the acknowledgements Brookmyre even thanks the designer for fitting all the words on the cover. Anyway, guess what? Yeah, i loved it. If i was to force myself to pick a favourite Brookmyre, this might be it. Might be. If i forced myself. Which i won't.

All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye = (A Granny ^ kick arse) + Eclectic group of criminal mastermind do-gooders for hire.
