Is this art form of phonecam'ing/moblog'ing only applicable to "pure" images straight from the phone? Proper origami only allows folding, no cutting or tearing, yet more complex creations can be made when the medium is given greater reign.
I'm not saying that this sort of post-processing is "real" moblog'ing, but I do think it's a derivation of the same sort of stuff. I'd guess that Joe cropped this entry" to focus on the part he wanted - is that valid?
"Real" photography is often a case of selection, grading and adjustment - couldn't the same apply to phonecam work? I'd certainly be willing to see an expansion of this new art form into different means of displaying, using and merging bits of phonecam work. And since the K700i itself has built-in panoramaifying technology, would that count as "proper" phonecam stuff? Might it eventually get to the point where the sort of cut 'n' paste in this piece was possible directly from a phone? Would that m ake it right?
I think this sort of debate is healthy, especially since we live in a fast-moving technology environment. (Was this competition open to video and audio entries, for example.)
